Mary Whitehouse speaks

OK. I've finally done it. Someone has overstepped the mark and posted something which is utterly offensive, so for the first time, I've erased their post.

I trust that you all to have opinions and that you are self-policing before you post your comments. As you know, I trust you all enough so that I don't have to put a vetting procedure in place.

I'm already getting bored of the foul language that has popped up on recent occasions. The English language is rich enough for you not to use such base words.

Sort it out before I have to flick the censor switch.

  1. Its perfectly within your rights to do that! If people are just here for a slanging match then let them go to the ship and get pissed and have one in person - I'm sure we'll hear them later on anyhow!

    Long live Plumsteadshire!

  3. Yes, I saw the joke posted too and as I stated earlier, I believe it was just a moronic feud between two neighbours of whom one was obviously ginger and a bit touchy to say the least! Just keep your petty arguments to yourselves and not on this site which is trying to do its best for our neighbourhood.

Keep up the good work Doctor P.

  7. I am all for anonymity, but it is very difficult following different anonymous people commenting, or is it one anonymous person?

Might have to try and disable the anonymous feature so we can see who's saying what.

  14. I know in the meantime it's the lovely Ocado man in his "strawberry van" but Tesco is great news and there is a Boots on the high street as well now - and the Daily S cafe (as I thought it was called for ages and wondered what the S was for)is also lovely, great smoothie's in there! Now if the pubs being redone on the high street turn into flats with retail facilities underneath I reckon we could get a Pizza Express in one of them, although my husband reckons a Nando's is more likely!

  15. Mmmm Nandos i love the way they can change a piece of chicken into anything by puting a sauce over it, or marinating, genius cooking
