One of my lovely listeners has informed me of a meeting to talk about The Ship's proposals. This sounds like a very important meeting for members of The Shire who care about our little patch of London. I guess this is open to all, not just PCEG members. Read on....
There is a PCEG meeting this Sunday 13/9. Anyone concerned about this matter that wants to discuss should come to the meeting!!
Meeting details:
Sunday 13 Sept. 3pm
St Marks Church Hall on Old Mill Road.
Agenda on the website:

Can't say the plans for The Ship bother me as much as the increase of ginger people in the area. Couldn't we refocus our efforts to rid ourselves of these "Red Perils" once and for all? What say you good doctor? Could you not prescribe some genetic altering drug to alleviate this ugly blight on The Shire??
Plumsteadshire has its' very own team of nanotechnologists based in a top secret bunker in Plum Lane. Codenamed 'Pfizer', our team of dedicated scientists will look into this extraordinary phenomena you have brought to light.
Doctor, many thanks for your swift intervention with regards to this troubling development. Topless dancers in our midst is one thing but the threat of gingers on the loose on the face of Gods clean Earth is just too much to bear!
Ah has somone been watching to much Catherine Tait, i can sense from your lack of individuality and the need to jump on a bandwagon, that you are the type of person who most deffinatley does not light up the room with thier own sense of humour, i dont mean for this statement to make you seem a failure, i mean to have somone with ginger hair probably be earaning more than twice your peasants salary is no bad thing
oh and by the way its strawberry blonde
of f*"!*ing poo i meant earning
v funny last comment. Can't imagine how much you must earn with spelling that bad....and SB is still ging...
Congratulations, on your colour definitions, you sound like a hair colurist without a sense of humour, have you got any racist jokes as well, i feel this blog is slightly out of your age range, and possibly your mental ability, i get the feeling you are probably the type of person who never really achieves anything in life, maybe you are stuck in a job at work where you know you will never progress, maybe you have reached your pinnacle and the only kick you get out of life is taking the mick out of those around you to make you feel better, were you a bully at school, or is it just that your hair is falling or even fallen out, i dont want you to feel bad for your juvenile outburst, its people like you who ruined Mick Hucknalls career, and just because hes a local resident dosent give you the right to abuse him. I dont like abuse of any minority groups, whether you agree or not to single out and abuse anyone because of there colour or differences is not acceptable, still at least you have earnt your BNP card
it wasnt his hair colour that ruined Mick's career (although that probably didnt help) it was his atrocious singing and bling teeth..
Why is it that people who are in the minority always use it as an excuse when things go wrong??
Also I wasn't a bully at school, I have beautiful hair and a great job.
I take it you lads (or lasses) know each other judging by your childlike squabble, but whether we are affluent redheads or blond coiffured peasants is neither here nor there. This post was intended to unify our community in its fight against the proposed useage change of The Ship!
However, not wanting to be a total killjoy, I think you may find the following link quite amusing!

Yes you are right this person can make any comments about peoples appearance, colour or creed at work but unfortunateley they are the type of person who many years ago would of been called yellow or gutless,or wimp,or maybe they would of been given a white feather during the first world war, now days we just refer to them as bottlejobs, id hate to of lived my life just hiding in the shadows, you really could of done so much with your life and look whats happened youve endeed up stuck, and going nowhere, i know your not from the shire because you would have more guts the Shire shall live on Viva la Shire
It's not your hair colour I'm worried about it's your mental health problems. I for one found the first poster rather amusing, I doubt they go out "red bashing" but seriously if you have red hair either get over it or get a hair dye.
Now The Ship/The Woodman/The new paint job on the Old Mill these are all worthy of our attention.
You sound like you know the area to me! It sounds as though our angry friend has a long running feud with someone else and he is convinced they are posting on this site. Can't see why some people let old hostilities fester so long that they turn into paranoia? If we want a better community we shouldn't be getting at each others throats but building bridges. The goals of this site are commendable but as long as people are just using it as a platform or their outpouring of vitriol then it becomes pointless.
I had let this hair japery continue a little as it was a little distraction from the spiraling bun fight about the merits of the Ship and the impending planning application.
On the whole, I'm surprised that the hair comment (which came from nowhere), has turned into its' own topic of mud slinging. It has become 'Gingergate'.
This has made me wonder if a topic can being started without anyone taking offense.
Lovely listeners, let's not forget the Ship's planning proposal
