4,000 trees to be planted

I just read this little article about the 4,000 street trees that will be planted in London. Great news. I'll look forward to a few trees on the vast forecourt outside the Co Op, Spice Island and the carpet shop.

But stap me vitals!!!! This list doesn't seem to include the borough of Greenwich. Surely this is a typo error or has it been decided that Greenwich has enough trees already? Hmmm.

Great idea. Greenwich has so many wonderful trees but a few more can't hurt. I followed through and found that Greenwich is included with tree planting to be in Abbey Wood:

Thanks to our local strait-jacket wearer for talking out of your rectum. Unfortunately, I can't let you post that as you might scare the more gentle folk of the Shire.

I see that Greenwich is due to plant 2,012 trees according to the freebie paper. I actually think it is quite a "green" borough so am pleased it is getting as many as it is. Perhaps they would like to pop some in my garden! I could do with a few to make it more secluded and "secret garden" esque...
