Feeling thirsty?

Café society could be coming to Plumsteadshire but before we get too excited, let's just cross our fingers.

it's already here. the daily 5 on lakedale road makes a great strong latte and some really delicious food at great prices. i was in there the other day with two other mums and kiddies and had a lovely lunch. just hoping the new proprietor gets some high chairs.

While we're (kind of) on the subject, does anybody know what's happening with the Ablair shop on the corner of the common?

It's meant to be on the market through Hummerstone and Hawkins but I can't find it on their website.

someone please turn ablair's into a nice restaurant. imaging, a lovely italian or mod british/european place with some good wine. and the outside area a large conservatory-like space out front, bright, sunny, and local. open day and night for brunch, lunch and dinner, coffees, etc. please can someone with money and a business head give us a good local restaurant! thank you in advance. :-)

I don't know what's happening with Ablair, but I'm also keen to find out. Coffee shop/restaurant aside, I'd like to see it turned into a good old fashioned model shop. One that sells plastic kits and miniature trees for railway dioramas.

The 'disaffected youth' need to stop scaring old folk and get a hobby. They need to focus on piecing together hundreds of pieces of plastic and painting it up and realising that creating something makes you feel good.

coffee or wine. Really I'm not fussy I'd just like somewhere local to hang out. Perhaps the brewery behind Dial Arch will feel the SE18 love and look to Plumstead!

Dear friend,
You can lead a horse to water, but a pencil must be lead.

The Rugby Club (pavilion) on the Common have an application in place to open as a Cafe.

But Dr P knows that already, surely!?

Yes, I know about it.

So what's happened to Ablair? I used to have the pleasure of them revving up lorries under my bedroom window every morning & generally being anti-social morons - Fat Dave & Karen have got to be 2 of the most miserable, ignorant gits I've ever known, even by SE18 standards. Please tell me they've gone bankrupt! Former PlumCom resident & Ablair tenant btwe)
